Hello,

I am Yasandi Perera, a creative individual who is interested in anything that is related to art. I believe designers are the ones who shape the world you and I live in and as such people, they hold tremendous responsibility to design lucid, inspirational masterpieces that can touch people’s hearts and sing to their souls.

As an interior designer I believe the most interesting thing to do is take things we encounter each and every day, things that seem mundane and transform them into something stupendous and interesting. At the same time I believe in minimalistic, solution designs which are practical. These are two key elements I try to incorporate into the pieces I design. I am also highly interested in the global shift towards ecology and try to make sustainability a priority in my designs. My quest is to create self-sustaining structures that will improve and utilize to the fullest extent its construction space in an eco-friendly manner, while restoring any initial damage done to the surrounding environment.

I enjoy producing 3D renders of spaces as this is the method of bringing to life a still image or a ground plan. I am currently training myself the necessary skills to become a full-blown realistic renderer in the near future.

Having studied as the Academy of Design (the leading design school in Sri Lanka) and completed my BA(Hons.) degree in Interior Design from the Northumbria University, I believe I was exposed to a universe of creativity! At the same time I have learnt the importance of punctuality and time management. The education and experience I received at the A.O.D has also made me become an even more responsible reliable individual who is trustworthy. I do my work with much enthusiasm and see to it that it meets the necessary standards and a perfect finish.
